Animal species all around the world need your help!

Did you know? According to the latest publication (2020) of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), out of the more than 120,000 species studied, 32,440 have a precarious status. Among these species, 26% of the mammals, 14% of the birds and 41% of the amphibians are in danger of extinction. This is also the case for 30% of our rays and sharks and 33% of our coral reefs.

How can I get involved?

When you adopt one of our 6 star species, you’re creating not only a special bond between you and one of our star animals, you’re also participating directly in the Zoo de Granby’s conservation educational mission. Every year, our highly experienced biologists are able to reach nearly 45,000 young people through our educational workshops at the zoo, but also by going to their schools throughout Quebec. Your contribution allows us to continue our commitment to training a whole new generation of ambassadors for the protection of biodiversity.

What are the available adoption plans?

Becoming a foster parent is so easy! All you need to do is select an animal among the six species we’ve presented and choose the adoption plan that suits you. Each adoption is valid for 1 year, and all our adoptive parents’ names are registered on our website in the section reserved for the “List of Adoptive Parents.”

Testimonials

First time visiting here on our annual summer week in Québec. We went for the 2 day family pass, and had an amazing time. The 2 days allowed us to take our time around the park, and gave plenty of time as well for cooling off at the Amazoo. We'll definitely come back!
